Samantha has experience providing therapy for a range of difficulties, including anger management, anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, self-harm, grief, peer relationships, stress, suicidal ideation, trauma, and PTSD.
Samantha is a Board-Certified Licensed Clinical Art Therapist and Mental Health Counselor. Samantha completed her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling at Long Island University. Currently, Samantha is the sole Art Therapist at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital. She has clinical experience providing both talk and art therapy to children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups. Samantha has worked in mental health facilities, medical settings, and in schools. In therapy with her, you can expect to be met with authenticity, empathy, a little humor, insight, and creativity. Together you will build on the strengths you already have to improve your relationships and solve the challenges that have brought you to therapy. You will also have the added benefit of using art materials along with traditional talk therapy to assist with tending to those issues. Samantha is patient, gentle, and empathetic in her approach to therapy. She meets her clients where they are and assists them on their journey of self-discovery.
